Squishy Cookies

Squishy Cookies

I like this recipe because its fun to make. My mum taught me this recipe. It is very easy to make some people will need help others won't. Kids might need help with the oven.

                 Recipe

Ingredients

1.125 g softened  butter (unsalted)

2. 250g brown sugar

3. 1 egg

4. 1tsp vanilla (essence)

5. 225g plain flour

6. 1tsp baking powder

7. 200g of choc chips (these are optional - you can use sultanas, nuts, other things instead)

8. 1tsp ginger and cinnamon

You will also need a kitchen aid, scales, 2 oven trays, baking paper.

This recipe makes about 24 cookies.

 how to make

1. Preheat oven to 180 and line the 2 oven trays with baking paper.

2. Mix butter and brown sugar in a kitchen aid, for about 3 minutes.

3. Then add egg and vanilla mix them well, around another minute.

4. Combine the dry ingredients but don't mix in choc chips yet.

5. Add the dry ingredients to the kitchen aid and mix.

6. Now add choc chips and mix.

7. Roll into small balls and put them on the baking tray. Make sure you leave space between them because they will spread out. I usually put 6 or 8 on each tray depending on the size.

8. Cook for 10-12 minutes. They will be very soft when you first take them out of the oven but they will harden in 5 or 10 minutes.
